Some still consider it their favorite modern FromSoftware game, and it definitely stands as both one of the best and one of the most unique Soulslikes in the industry. Having released as a PS4 exclusive in 2017, FromSoftware's Bloodborne stole gamers’ hearts and minds with its unmatched gothic architecture, eldritch enemies, and satisfying fast-paced combat. The fandom's knowledge still starts and stops at rumors, but at least there's now a logical progression from the idea to it actually happening. Now there is actually some precedent for the idea of a Bloodborne remaster, remake, or even outright sequel to actually happen. ![]() While it’s unknown exactly what Bluepoint will be doing with Sony, an allusion was made to the remake-specialist beginning work on “new content” for the first time. Earlier this year, Bloodborne IP owner Sony acquired Bluepoint Games, the creators of the stellar Shadow of the Colossus and Demon's Souls remakes. ![]() Another year is coming to a close, and that means another round of FromSoftware fans hoping to see Bloodborne again - though things feel a little different this time.
